Well, I received the Mio 320 and I must say that it MORE than lives up to its review!! The minute I took it out of the box I was using it. The interface is extremely user friendly and I was able to figure out how to use it without referencing the instructions. It has a good size screen so I won’t have to worry about squinting to see directions. The day/night feature is definitely appreciated. I used a SD memory card to play music through the built in MP3 player, and I like it. Though not the same sound as I get through the car stereo, it’s more than adequate for my purposes. One thing that I was quite pleased about was the ability to upgrade the voice instructions to “text to speech†through a download I found on the GPS message board. Rather than hearing that I should “turn left in 500 yardsâ€, it now says “turn left on Main Street.†That feature alone now puts the unit in a higher class for me!!!
The satellite link up is adequate, even though it does sometimes take a minute or so for the unit to recalculate the route. I haven’t subscribed to the traffic service, but I think it is something that I will do to see how well that function works.
Overall, this is a great unit, more than worth the price in the store. It clearly matches some of the other units in the same price range, and may even surpass some. Thanx again BJ!!!
