So I’ve been wanting a way to share all the blogs and articles that I read to keep up on what’s going on with all of you guys. I knew there was a good RSS Feed to Post converter out there, and what I came up with was wp-o-matic. After a short setup (it has to add a table to your db), you can set up campaigns for it to continuously grab content from RSS feeds that you give it.

So it’s not perfect, it does run with cron, or if need be a pseudo-cron that is an online service posing as a cron job. That’s fine, but this morning while checking things over, I noticed it had grabbed the same set of articles 3 times. So I had triplicates of 30 posts… Not good.

I’ve adjusted the time between pulls, so maybe that will keep it happy and not shower me with excess posts, but only the next run will tell. Let me know what you guys think of all the next stuff. Too much? Not the right articles? Hell, tell me if you know of a site that you are always reading and think it would do good on here. A one stop shop for your daily tech news!
