
I’ve been playing around a little with the beta of Wix, a new free site that lets you create Flash sites without knowing any Flash. With the WYSIWYG tool, you can drag shapes around, add clip art, videos, and music, use built-in background images or upload your own, and even tack on widgets like navigation menus and dancing skeletons.
When Wix emerges from closed-beta status, prepare yourself for a web in which silly Flash pages are incredibly easy to make.
It’s impressively robust, although the beta has its glitches — for instance, it wouldn’t validate 10/10 as a legal birthdate; I had to change it to 11/11 to log in:
