Art is born where intellect and heart collide in my humble opinion. Therefore it would be safe to assume artists to be effective and even adept communicators. In fact generally speaking that is what an artist does; communicate efficaciously using a certain medium. Now stay with me, I am mentioning this because tonight I learned a lesson, a lesson that had been coming at me hard for the last few weeks, a lesson that really wanted to be taught.
I have always considered myself a very engaging and effective listener. I have an online communication test result to prove that. I quote “You seem to realize that empathy is an essential part of good interpersonal skills and therefore, will do your best to place yourself in other people’s shoes in order to better understand them.†I do. I really do. Yet tonight I experienced a different tone that even I was somewhat deaf to. That is the “mindset.†At one point I almost named my production company that. Luckily it was taken. Please do stay with me because a point is to be made, I promise.
Generally speaking when communicating with friends and family, we have a mindset. We have a set of assumptions and notations that define our relation and ties to the other person. The closer the relationship, the stronger is the conjecture. So as a conclusion I have learned tonight that it is necessary to leave a frame of mind outside the door frame when communicating with loved ones.

Just like a rope’s twisted strands forming into a seamless united line of strength, humanity will stand the test of time if you ask me. It is beyond my power of perception, or more simply put, I would not be naive enough to consider or ponder a relative purpose for humanity. It is however ironically simple to imagine that evolution of consciousness has brought us to an understanding. That is recognizing existence of the question itself. We ask because we are here to ask.
The limitation of man’s perception in relation to the heavens is widely and generally ignored. Definition of time as we identify with it only applies to our point of view. With that in mind, it is crucial that we also accept earth as a living organism and recognize its perspective of time. It is with such recognition that humanity will be able to conceptualize a purpose. There is so much in this life we can achieve and affect that I as one would leave a more philosophical and romantic purpose for humanity to another lifetime and get busy with taking care of this one.
