Introducing Adobe® Flash Catalyst™

Last year at MAX Adobe showed off a product that they were calling Thermo, well a full year has passed and that product has now matured to the point that is has its own official name. Flash Catalyst is that new name and it truly describes what I feel it should be used for. Flash Catalyst will allow applications to quickly be built in a visual environment where they can then be refactured within an editor like Flex Builder to become a mature application.

Those lucky enough to be in attendance at MAX this week will be able to grab a copy (Mac only) while the public beta version is expected to be available on Adobe Labs in early 2009. This will also include a Windows version. For more information on Catalyst, please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/flashcatalyst
