Steak And Very Shake-y Service
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008I grew up in St. Louis to orange freezes and double steakburgers with cheese. When I was a little girl and my baby sister was being born, my dad distracted my little brother and I at the Steak & Shake on Hampton Avenue in South St. Louis. The first place I circled with my new drivers license at age 16 was the Steak & Shake on Chippewa.Â
By the time I was ready to graduate from high school I had been on many dates at Steak & Shake. In one case, Glen Navarro, a crush from my last two years at Bishop Du Bourg High School came back from his tour in the Navy to take me for a Steak burger with 1000 Island Dressing. It was a memorable evening.Â
