Oscar Blandi has a client list that includes some of the top superstars in the celebrity world.
Before her marriage to Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes was a regular visitor to the handsome Oscar’s chair.
Throughout his brilliant career, Oscar, who was born in Naples, Italy to a famous hairdresser, has also coiffed the tresses of Jennifer Garner, Salma Hayek, Kelly Ripa, Natasha Richardson, Reese Witherspoon, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Renee Zellweger, Minnie Driver, Lara Flynn Boyle, Gabriel Byrne, Stockard Channing, Courteney Cox, Cameron Diaz, Carmen Electra, Sarah Ferguson,
He has also worked with Ashley Judd, Laura Leighton, Jennifer Lopez, Marla Maples, Gretch Mol, Ryan Philippe, David Schwimmer, Sherry Stringfield, Peter Gallagher, Richard Greico, Yasmine Bleeth, Carol Alt and Mili Avital.
Oscar is famous for his charming chair side manner along with the talent at whipping up sensual hairstyles includes high fashion haircuts, twists and stellar updos. His signature hair styles are fashionable and wearable without being radical or overdone.
He is constantly inventing and re-inventing hairstyles. In his spare time he also create hair tools to hone his styling skills. He designed and created a new type of scissors consisting of two blades to aide in taming very curly hair or working with luxurious hair extensions. His goal? To achieve more flexibility with current stylists.
Oscar is very ambitious and not only studied at the hands of his famous Italian father, but he also studied with some of the cream of the celebrity hairdresser crop including Frederic Fekkai, Pierre Michal and Peter Coppola.

In fact, before he opened his namesake salon at The Plaza (at the impressive age of 30), he held the title of Head Hairstylist at the famous Peter Coppola salon.
The Manhatten based celebrity hairdresser is noted for his work on curly tresses and has the talent to inspire new hair trends. When he wove fresh white flowers into the up swept hairstyle he created for Jennifer Lopez for one of her past nuptials, the photos from the event launched thousands of requests at salons around the country.
Oscar’s hairstyles have graced the covers of nearly every top fashion and entertainment magazines on the newsstand. He is also one of the most quoted celebrity hairstylists today. He has appeared on the popular E! Entertainment program and as a commentator for Joan River’s top-rated award winning red carpet reviews.
Blandi’s hair work receives many kudos regardless of whether he is cutting, styling or working on a movie set.
Working With Jennifer Lopez’s Hair For The Academy Awards
He famously coiffed Jennifer Lopez in the late 1990s at the Academy Awards with an uber chic 50s inspired style. The fashionistas ignored her gown and focused instead on her stunning hair creation ala Hair Maestro Blandi.
His modern day Audrey Hepburn inspired coif made actress Lara Flynn Boyle one of the most talked about stars at an Emmy awards ceremony. He created Lara Flynn’s glam hair style with hair extensions shaped into a sleek chignon.
Blandi moved out of the Plaza Hotel and now resides at his latest salon location in Manhattan located at 746 Madison Avenue at 65th Street (212.988.9404). The brilliant celeb hairdresser is no stranger to Los Angeles where he takes care of his Hollywood clients on a regular basis.
To find him in his spare time, just look straight up, as he will most likely be skydiving, much to the shock and concern of some of his devoted celeb clients. Oscar also has his own professional namesake hair care line called Oscar Blandi.
The upcoming social climbers also visit the salon. Tinsley Mortimer was recently spotted visiting Oscar Blondi colorist Kyle for her gorgeous blonde highlights.
