25th annual Adopt-A-Beach Fall Cleanup Sept. 24

All-volunteer coastal cleanup effort expected to draw about 10,000 beach lovers

The 25th Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach Fall Cleanup will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 at 29 sites along the Texas coast.

Adopt-A-Beach volunteers can register at any of 28 check-in sites all along the Texas coast between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sept. 24. Volunteers must pre-register for the St. Jo Island location in advance.

Volunteers should wear shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Volunteers will be given data cards, gloves, pencils and trash bags. Most sites along the coast conclude the day’s cleanup with cold drinks, hot food and lots of fun.

Volunteers may register on-line at www.TexasAdoptABeach.org or become a fan of the Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach program on Facebook. Texans who can’t make it to the beach but still want to support the effort can make a tax-deductible donation at www.TexasAdoptABeach.org. Sponsorship levels range from $25 to $25,000. How To – Achieve This Sensual Hairstyle

This simple but elegant hairstyle is showcased on one of the stunning Jovani Prom Gowns.  The hairstyle can be worn pulled off the hairline in front (as shown by the Jovani model) or it can be combined with a side-swept or full fringe.

Pulling all the hair off the face does have the advantage of creating a dramatic hairstyle and of course shows off perfect make-up, lips and stunning earrings.

Suggested Hair Length – Long – Shoulder Length Or Longer.

Hair should either be naturally straight or have the ability to be temporarily straightened with products or during drying cycle.  While you could create a Modern Nape Knot on hair which is naturally curly or wavy, you would not be able to achieve the same sleekness.

At Emanuel Ungaro, the hairstyle was a severe, strict, high ponytail at the crown. “Ponytails can have so many different variations – some are soft and feminine, and some are more severe like the one today at Emanuel Ungaro. Redken product:
-hardwear 16 super strong sculpting gel
-forceful 23 super strength finishing spray
-shine flash 02 glistening mist (available April 2011)

Create the look:
-Comb hardwear 16 super strong sculpting gel through hair at the crown
-Pull hair into a high ponytail at the crown of the head & secure with an elastic
-Wrap a 3-inch piece of black leather around the elastic and wrap elastic around the leather for added texture and security
-Flat iron the ponytail so it’s very straight
