When Summer rolls around Ellen’s daily talk show goes on hiatus. Lucky for me the reruns still appear on my DVR and I’m able to catch up with some of the shows I missed the first time around.

Today I caught up with one of Ellen’s shows from May of 2009 where she had the fabulous Queen Latifah on the show as one of her guests.  The talk show hostess  discussed Latifah’s appearance on American Idol and her fabulous duet with finalist Lil Rounds.

Ellen pointed out that  Lil Rounds and Queen Latifah was fantastic.  Queen Latifah agreed.  She said “she’s so cool.”  Ellen asked “now when did you decide she was going to sing with you, at what point….? (more…)

The vivacious and incredibly gorgeous Jessica Biel recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show to promote her brand new film ‘Easy Virtue’.

Before she appeared on stage Ellen played a clip of the film with Jessica with short wavy platinum blonde hair and a more subdued Kristin Scott Thomas doing battle.

Jessica appeared on stage wearing sassy black leather ankle length pants, a soft white top and a tweedy style jacket with black leather edging along the lapels.

She had on high heels and looked spectacular.  Her light brunette hair was highlighted with lighter caramel ribbons and it cascaded down around her shoulders with hints of loose waves.  It was worn off her face to showcase her famous beauty. (more…)

Kelly Clarkson recently opened The Ellen Degeneres Show with her hit “Since You’ve Been Gone” and then came back at the end of the show and performed another song.  She also stopped by in her orange top with her lighter blonde hair to chat with Ellen.

The talk show hostess introduced Kelly as “the incredibly talented Kelly Clarkson…and you know…thanks for opening the show with “Since You’ve Been Gone.  You know we play that all the time here.  All the time.”  The audience whooped, applauded and whistled at the mention of the song.

Kelly said “I know, we, me and my record singers watch it all the time.  It’s hilarious cause you play the songs and the people sing along…the guy was my favorite (referring to one audience member who sang it horribly but hilariously) that was doing “Since You’ve Been Gone”  He was so awful.” (more…)

Ellen started off her show with Matthew Perry by showing a clip of 17 Again which Ellen said is currently the #1 movie at the box office.  She also showed a photo of herself at 17 years of age with big frizzy hair.

The funnylady greeted Matthew when he appeared on stage but she did not hug him.  She said the reason she didn’t hug Matthew was because he had told her he was feeling a little under the weather.  Matthew understood why Ellen didn’t hug him and said “I have a slight little cold” but “I would like to hug the 17 year old version of you (referring to the first photo Ellen had shown of herself at 17).”

Ellen thanked Matthew who described Ellen’s photo as “smokin”.  Ellen said “well maybe I’ll get that look again” and proceeded to flash her photo with big frizzy hair again.”

Matthew said “very brave of you to show that on…..”  Ellen said “you know what, I’ve showed them so many times they can’t hurt me anymore”.  Matthew said “that’s a girl you want to hang with though.”

Ellen said “yeah really, because you’ll feel better about yourself.” (more…)
