BEVERLY HILLS, CA, August 31st, 2009 — Alterna Professional Haircare, creator and global distributor of groundbreaking fine hair care products, today announced the appointment of Joan Malloy, a beauty industry veteran, as President.

Most recently, Ms. Malloy was Senior Vice President of Marketing for prestige hair care brand Fekkai.

Ms. Malloy has extensive management, marketing, and product development experience in the beauty industry, having previously held executive positions at Estée Lauder, Lancôme, and John Frieda.

According to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) Haircare giant Procter & Gamble (P&G) announced Tuesday, March 25, 2008 that it has signed an agreement to purchase Frédéric Fekkai & Co.
