Recently I received several emails from HairBoutique.com visitors asking how depression might be linked to hair loss or other hair concerns such as slowed growth, change in texture or other factors.

Good question. Can depression cause hair loss? Or does hair loss occur as a side effect to the drugs that may be prescribed for treating depression? Which comes first depression or hair loss?

Kelli Brianne Garner was born in Bakersfield, grew up in Thousand Oaks, and currently resides in Calabasas, California.

The beautiful blonde began her career when she was discovered at a friend’s Bar Mitzvah.

She made her film debut at the age of 16 when she appeared in Architecture of Reassurance in 1999.  It was a Sundance Film Festival.

She then appeared teen Heather Swallers in the docudrama Bully in 2001.  The role was controversial because of her role as a drug-addicted teen.

In 2004 Kelli (no relationship to Jennifer Garner) appeared opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Aviator.  In 2005 she appeared in Thumbsucker .  She then appeared opposite Tommy Lee Jones in Man of the House for 2005. (more…)

I have been asked by many folks over the years why HairBoutique.com doesn’t participate in the famous Hollywood “gifting suites” for the various Award Shows (Golden Globes, Academy Awards, Country Music Awards, Emmy Awards etc.,)

It’s not because we can’t or because we haven’t been asked.  The reason is actually simple.  It’s not a good business model for my company.  It also would actually indirectly hurt our customers. Is that true for all business?  I can’t say, but I know after long term experiences as a CEO that it’s not right for HairBoutique.com. (more…)

A lot of hair myths exist involved “medium” length hair.or hairstyle.  Really, what is the true definition of medium length hair versus very short, short, long and ultra long?

Life & Style Magazine - April 14th issue - interviewed Ashlee Simpson about her new album - Bittersweet World - told the weekly magazine “I never thought my life would end up taking the turn that it has. I always saw myself with blue hair in a band. So it’s great to be in the place that I am right now. Either way, I’ll be happy. I’ll probably still have blue hair one day.”

I for one have no doubt that will happen since the singer, actress and newly crowned t-shirt designer for wet seal has morphed from platinum blonde to deep burgandy red with a few stops in the chocolate, black and strawberry shades along the way. Going blue with her hair? Why not?

Ash is not only in the news for her new CD and T-shirt line, she is also fighting rumors that she and long term beau Pete Wentz are pregnant. The very private Ash doesn’t want to talk about it although she is willing to talk about her recent engagement to the Fall Out Boy band member which they announced on the Web.

Will Ashlee have blue hair for her nuptials to Pete? Unlikely.
