Hate it or Love It

1) Bowling Escapade
Bowling Update: 111, 124, 137 (25th Jan 06) Average volutes downwards from 142 to 133 for 2006. My extenuation, I wasn’t using my own bowling ball and shoes. We bought the games at a chintzy RM4.50. Also, to add icing on the cake, we were given 5 free games, hence making the RM40 defrayment for the 1-year membership a value for money.

2) Horrendous Jammies
The traffic jams have been really atrocious these last couple of days. My workplace, in Sect 19 PJ, has a panoramic view of the ill-famed Rothmans roundabout traffic snarls. It’s a dreadful cliffhanger one has to stomach just to cross from Sect 14, SS2 or Sect 17 from 12pm to around 6pm. Outlay of millions spent on the levelling and reconstructing of the Sect 14 trunk road divider simply portrays an absolute thriftlessness of public funds and lack of perceptiveness by the PJ municipal council. A traffic light seems like the right way of life to replace the superannuated roundabouts in PJ. A paragon long term solution would be ramping up fly-bies, but with the confinement of spaces around the roundabout, it makes this denouement virtually unsurmountable.

3) On the Verge of Extinction: Orangutan
11,000. That’s how many Orangutans are lingering in the wilderness of Borneo. I read the news with much repugnance, cognizing that our closest coituses are on the threshold of defunctness in the next 20 odd years. It’s a perturbing discernment, and I believe the appendage of extinction is inescapable due to the fact that humans will always be humans – acting Godlike. Despicable.

4) The New Vios
I loathe Honda City and the Toyota Vios. Both are fugly cars that shouldn’t have seen the light of day. And the Malaysians who impulse-buy them needs to be put to sleep due to their axiomatic incompetency to differentiate a car and a cowdung. Having said that, I see there is a small possibility of light at the end of the tunnel for the NEW Vios. But I still wouldn’t want to own it. As for the new Honda City – it’s just keeps getting worse, doesn’t it?! What was once knowsn as a turtle that is now turning into a Hoary bat (see photo)! Yuck!

5) Possible Concerts – Korn & INXS
I read somewhere that Korn and INXS are expecting to stage possible concerts in our Malaysian backwaters. Korn is purportedly will be performing in Kota Bahru Kelantan and INXS will be performing in Penang for the shirtlifters. Hahahaha! Kidding!! Apart from Korn’s new single, TWISTED TRANSISTOR, these boofheads suck. As for INXS, I kinda like a couple of songs, but have never really been a big fan of them. I am strongly considering of attending their concert in KL somewhere this year. It might be good seeing that the new lead, JD Fortune will be channelizing some fresh blood into a much-needed INXS mini-revival. RIP Michael Hutchence – still think you’re irreplaceable (Thank God! Hahahahaha!).

6) Playboy Indonesia
WTF? Gimme a break! Hahahahahahaha!!! *GASPS FOR AIR* Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!

7) Mind Your Language
I had a sudden detonation of old TV retrospections last night, and this sitcom came to mind. It’s made between 1977 and 1980, and I distinctly remember watching MIND YOUR LANGUAGE (my late Dad used to always record the program) on TV back in 1984. I loved this sitcom to bits. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a sitcom about a teacher of an English evening class for foreign students. I’m planning to get the DVD box set @ Amazon in the coming months.

Dogs Have Feelings too!
Doggone it. If you wanna have an propitious CNY, please don’t give away puppies or buy puppies for loved ones simply because it’s the YEAR OF THE DOG. Don’t be inhumane if you don’t intend to keep them for the long run. Remember, owning a pet is a commitment, so please be sure that your motives are honorable before attempting to something like this. And if I do find out about someone who have done this, I’ll smack them silly and call them Fanny!
