Lucky Futsal Slevin

It was a satisfying 2 hours of kickabout. I thought I did alright (barring the ephemeral loss of vision during a period in the game). Still haven’t fully recuperated from the hemicrania.

I was kinda let down with the lack of team effort and the strategy by my team for the first 30 minutes. We were being outplayed. I kept plugging away, finding spaces for them to run through, but they always ended up giving the ball away. The opponents played very high up the pitch leaving us with little room for tactics.

Though it was only a friendly game, it was difficult not to show any emotions when your team is not bucking up. Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing! All other winning quotes….yadda yadda yaddas…when i was a young warthog….is hogwash. Only losers don’t see winning as winning.

We motley the teams around and had a more equilibrized tinge after that. I scored a fistful of goals (approx 4), as I always favored the holding role. Towards the end of this game, I lurched towards the right midfield and scored a goal that I was proud of – my back was facing the goal, I dummied my opponent by using my left foot to put the ball behind me, did a 180 degree turn, and unleashed a shot to the bottom left corner of the post.

All this while donning my 02 Arsenal jersey. Once the game was over, I changed to….yes, you guessed it, Arsenal’s present redcurrant jersey. OLE!

Watched Lucky Number Slevin at KLCC (my new Cinema haunt). It was very enjoyable. It’s a typical film where the parts are not completely told (jigsaw effect), and then makes perfect sense towards the end. Bruce Willis was classic. 7/10 for me.
