Germany vs Argentina
Well well well. Germany demonstrated their never-say-die quality that typifies Deutschland. What a game! Argentina maybe didn’t deserve to lose, but they certainly didn’t deserve to win either. Neither of the goalkeepers were regularly threatened. It was a very even match, with Germany absorbing all the pressure. The ending melee was nonsensical. The world cup’s been phenomenal until that. I just read that Germany scored 26 out of 28 penalties (penalty shootout) in the world cup and euro combined. They only lost once on penalty shootout, back in 1976 to the Czechs. Hmmm…
Italy vs Ukraine
England vs Portugal
Brazil vs France
A wonderful shocker. I’m happy that Thierry Henry got the crucial goal against an out-of-sorts Brazil. Let’s face it, it didn’t look like Brazil were able to score. Looks like the French are peaking at the right time. A last hurrah for old man Zidane?
Germany vs Italy
I hope that Ballack will be able to play in this game. I believe the winner of this duel may ultimately go on to lift the cup, no discourtesy to France. The Italians will play a benumb game, killing the game in the middle of the park. Having said that, I do rate the Italians. Apart from that theatrical dive that sent the Aussie rugby team home, this team is not too tatty. It’s gonna be a tight battle, and I can see this going right down to the wire again. The winner of this match? Hmmm…a flip of a coin. That’s how close it is. Germany/Italy
France vs Portugal
With Deco back, can the Portuguese continue their way to the final? Me don’t think so. Henry will have a say in that. As I have previously mentioned in my first few world cup entries, don’t write off the French. I had France and Czech as the outsiders. 
They are peaking at the right time as Brazil found out, and should brush aside Portugal for a place in the final against Italy or possibly the host Germany. France

england supporter Awww…I do feel sorry for you, not because of England’s demise, but because that you support them.

What is up with the ManUre players – last week it was Ronaldo crying then we see Ferdinand crying after he did not have the balls to take a spot kick!
Oh well….England should blame SVEN…from the start, wrong squad selection and no game plan. Rooney can NOT play as a lone striker.

I didn’t realize this is an anti-England site.
All i can say is whoever anyone chooses to support has to be for the right reasons and not as and when is convenient ie jump ship and change allegiance when the favoured team is losing.
There is something called loyalty and also fairplay.
I support England and i’m proud of it.
I wish all the remaining teams luck on their quest…

Germans did dive a few times if I’m not mistaken. Funny eh, all the previous winners are in except for one non-winner, Portugal. Oh dear… so much of excitement! woohoo… Nvr say die, go germany!

What about Ballack? He dived and there was hardly any contact. He did not even receive a card!
Most Germans play fair but Ballack..well moving to Cheqski for 120,000 pounds per week says a lot!

lex & mr d Germany dived a few times? Apart from Ballack’s attempt against Ayala, I can hardly recall any other incident. Do enlighten me. Agree on Ballack moving to Chelski. But, I would’ve done the same thing, seeing that my career is coming to an end, it’s the most practical thing to do I guess.
ghee It’s gonna be a rollercoaster of a game tonight! The Italians are certainly tougher, and without Frings it’ll be difficult to contain their midfield, but we’ll see.
