Bud Spencer & Terence HillOut of the blue, I remembered these guys. And I remembered how I enjoyed watching their movies. They were bizarrely funny. Wonder if the DVDs are available. Hmmmm. After doing some quick research, these guys are Italians! I’m not sure whether the movies I watched were dubbed. Anyone prehistoric mammal out there who could help me out with this?

Bud Spencer (Carlo Pedersoli) and Terence Hill (Mario Girotti) made 19 movies together, and I can remember watching a number of them when I was 5 going on 9 (somewhere between 1982 and 1986). A shocking revelation is that Bud Spencer, the fat bastard (I blame Austin Powers!), was actually the first Italian to swim the 100 meter freestyle in less than a minute!

Won’t write too much on this entry because I doubt any of you have heard of them.

1982…86…I couldn’t recall, probably still sucking milk bottle? Heh heh, you like Italians now. Don’t u? :D

siapa ni? sometimes i really wonder how old you really are, gallivanter….hehehe….

meekiee I didn’t know they were Italians! I was duped I tell ya, Deutschland all the way! :-P

tihtahpah Don’t deny, you have heard of them right? Come on, admit it…admit it… ;-)

buon giorno letales, evil is upon you again ;) …yes i remember these clowns, and yes they are italians and their movies mostly dubbed in english :) i remember one movie they had was “they call me trinity” slapstick humor..the story can’t remember anymore..i was still a very young demon that time when i got to watch it. ;)

In 1982 I am 19 yrs old. I have seen a couple of their movies during the 80s on Melbourne channel 9’s midnight til dawn old movies marathon, the Trinity series I recall. Not bad. The thing that make me remember them is Terrence Hill’s eyes. They alwayslooked a bit weird to me.

I almost forgot about this comedic duo. They are damn funny guys. Used to watch them on TV when I was young. Thanks Dan for mentioning about them.

Don’t know where can I get their movies?

I remember them and used to love watching their moveis. So funny and i have this strange song in my ehad right now.

Guess the dubbing explains why the lips and words never matched up! hahaha

Lucifer Oh horny one, we are once again blessed with your corneous presence. :-) Thank you for remembering, do I have to sell my soul to you now?

Wombat And some of us were swimming in our daddy’s balls. LOL! His eyes looked weird indeed, always up to no good. Yes, another one who remembers!

Eric Another – OLE! I’ve no idea where to buy the DVDs. Definitely on the lookout! Apparently they made more than a dozen movies together. :-D

Mr D Likewise. Remembered the wild wild west scene and also the buggy scene in some hall with balloons. Sausage eating too. Didn’t realized it was dubbed either. :-)

tihtahpah Remember? Come on, you’re only a year younger than me. :-P

Gallivanter : I have always wished that Bud Spencer has acted in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly istead of Eli Wallach. I think he would have made a better Tuco instead of Eli. Trivia : Quentin Tarantino considers the final three way showdown scene to be the best ever shot in film history. Me agree.

ehh…a good WHOLE ONE YEAR younger than you….anyhoo Italian guys rock!

Wombat I haven’t watched The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, can’t seem to get my hands on the old DVDs (pirated ones that is). I just cannot believe that both Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were Italians.

tihtahpah Yes, and a WHOLE ONE YEAR less mature than I. :-P

Wombat, i agree with you and Tarantino….

Bud Spencer and terence hill… cant remember most of the movies but i do remember enjoying their movies… TV2 used to show their movies…

Saw loads of their movies on Sale in Melbourne… My friend bought one of Terence hills spagati westerns… forgot the name…

yeah i remember this one! my dad always played the video on them.. i remember him laughing like crazy.. especially this one scene where terence hill (or bud – not sure) pretended to be mute and made some crazy faces, while communicating with bud, and he in turn translated in language to a police officer.. something like dat… hehe..

Omigod!! I almost forgot about these guys! Used to love watching their movies on TV.

They are Italians?!! (or should I say ‘were’? Are they still alive? :p)
Their movies were dubbed??!!
Will wonders never cease?

I think amazon.com has some of the westerns. Terrence is also part German and i think he even did a “Kraut” western in addition to the “spagetti” westerns he did with Bud. Check out several websites about the duo below:
