Michael Jackson Moonwalker (1988)Annie are you okay? Are you okay Annie?!

It was a collection of short movies about MJ, a few long versions of MJ’s music videos. It starts with children re-enacting MJ’s “Bad”, followed by Speed Demon, MJ disguising himself as a rabbit (in clayform) to avoid overzealous fans and then the Grammy-winning best breakthrough video, “Leave Me Alone”.

The main feature of the movie, is Smooth Criminal. It was of epic proportions. Without a doubt my favorite part of the flick. THAT dance had the same impact as the historic “Thriller” and the live performance of “Billie Jean”. Magical stuff.

It closes with MJ doing a Beatles’ cover – “Come Together”. Did you know that Michael Jackson owns up to 250 Beatles songs? He bought it for a measly USD47.5 million in 1985 (smart move!). Don’t hate MJ for doing that, it’s all McCartney and Lennon’s fault. They tried to avoid British taxes by giving the publishing to a publicly-held company. Stingy bastards. He will lose the rights in 2008 though.
