I used to love Waikiki until Bangsar started closing at 2am, unleashing unruly Indians to the place. And with the expansion of Waikiki a couple of years ago, heralded the end of a place where 80s music thrived. It changed its concept to incorporate live bands and hip hop music. I’ve been frequenting Waikiki since 2000, and stopped a few years later. With its second pub, and with what I’ve seen so far, this is the place to be. Everything else in TTDI Plaza sucks. Just stick to Waikiki Too. :-)

Hi Daniel,

Aloha! Just wanted to come by and say thank you for dropping by my page and wishing me a “Happy Birthday!! :)

Wasn’t there a Waikiki in PJ closeby to/behind the Hilton? I remember going there 2 years ago with friends…

mind if I add your page on my blogroll?

Take care,
Consuela

Dude, there’s no sand in this waikiki…

That’s a very nice and tribal looking bar :)

i have never been into tht ttdi plaza. looks quite empty in there

Looks like a nice place to chill.

pucklepickle OLE. There’s a 75% chance that I’ll be heading there tonight. Wanna join?

Wannabe Economist Langkawi? Well, I’m not much of a JW drinker but I’ll keep a lookout for ya. :-)

Consuela Yeah, that Waikiki is still there, and sure you can add me to ur blogroll. :-)

Michael You can bring the sand if you want. :-)

Sha It’s a chill out place and it plays MP4. I’ve been a Waikiki patron for years now.

xin Yeah it is, but check Waikiki out, you might like it.

Jason It is indeed. :-)

Waikiki at ttdi plaza is great!

I used to drink there all the time, until I discovered VR1 at Damansara Intan, which is nearer home, and just as friendly, slightly cheaper as well. Occasionally I do drop in to Waikiki at Taman Tun, and should do again. Their staff and service are excellent.

Stian – It is.

Diarmuid – I haven’t heard of VR1, sounds like a bad engine oil name.

well i was there the other time.. lots of indian.. and there was a Fight too.. ! thats what it should be called.! well sorry to say .. it sucks.! lot like the old times.. and dont be biase with comments!

consumer

Music Lover – Well, it depends, sometimes there’s more Chinese too. To each their own. I bet you got beaten up in the fight that’s why you left a comment like this didn’t you? Don’t lie. :-P

Do they have pool table/s (i.e. British Pool) at Waikiki Too?

Ah… yes, I see the pool table… is there only 1? How “hot” is the table? I seem to have difficulty finding a place where they have more than 1 British pool table and get a chance to play with friends. Any idea?

Therese – Yeah only one table. I know a place, but it’s dead. It’s called Baywatch near Dataran Prima.
