Khaled Hosseini - A Thousand Splendid Suns

After falling in love with Khaled Hosseini’s first book, “The Kite Runner”, I got my hands on his latest novel, “A Thousand Splendid Suns”. Its theme is similar to the first book i.e. Afghanistan.

It tells the story of 2 women living in Afghanistan over some forty years. I loved reading it, as much as I did with the first, though the last few pages were rather weak based on the writer’s standards.

Violence, misery, abuse – it’ll make you appreciate the life you have even more. Go read it, it’s almost good as his first book. 8.5/10
