I reviewed David Cook’s Analog Heart, a 2006 effort, a few days ago, after Cook became the first American Idol from the rock genre. I was delighted, because I rate David Cook, a much better singer than Bo Bice and Chris Daughtry. I sometimes get the notion that Daughtry overdoes it.
This effort, pre-Idol years, is average based on Cook’s newly-found standards. Still, I can’ help but like the first number, “Straight Aheadâ€, an upbeat rock track.
