I’m a huge fan of chocolates, and by tagging me as a chocoholic, is a mere understatement to my love affair with God’s greatest offering to mankind. With great love for chocolates comes great love for Oreos! I was just on a flight to Jakarta on the 8th July for a quick business meeting (and quick I mean 6 hours in and out of Jakarta!).

With my girlfriend, it was a norm to indulge in the usual McDonald’s grub at the LCCT airport. You really think the restaurant opposite McDonald’s is worthy of our stomachs? Puh-lease.

I was lining up with hoardes of colorful humans, all muttering and mulling over the choices like it’s a driving exam, like they’re playing russian roulette. I ordered my usual favorite, a double cheese-burger, and I had my usual Orea McFlurry. I tried the M&M’s version but it’s just does not have the heavenly feel when Oreos is blessed on icecream. Amen.

No thanks to that little indulgence, I then entered the terminal and waited for my flight (delayed AirAsia style!) to Jakarta feeling Oreo’d! I was also curious about the so-called beefing of AirAsia’s food menu. Sure, there was roti jala, nasi bryani, 1901 chicken sausage to name a few, but ultimately, no matter what you buy, it doesn’t look the same as it is in the menu.

So, as a personal crusade against dodgy airline food, I opted for the safest but surest, Oreos for RM3! It was lovely jubbly! My colleague who sat next to me was trying hard to convince me that his roti jala was the bomb, but, after consuming his food, I turned to him to offer, “Oreos?”.

He said, “No thanks….errr….ah go on, I’ll have one…thanks!”. No one can resist the power of Oreos, unless you have a tasteless bud.

Eh have you ever tried Vochelle brand kah? I know your favorite is Cadbury but you try lah, sedap bah! (I just finished one big bar of fruit and nuts – all by myself!!)

And Oreos no lah, I prefer Chips Ahoy.

Jewelle – I’m not a Vochelle fan at all, unless if I have no other chocolates around me. Chips Ahoy, isn’t it a Chipsmore rip off? :-P
