New Kids on the Block – 2 in the Morning (The Block – Album Review)

“Summertime”, NKOTB’s first single off their new album, released in May 2008, is a track that grows on you. Believe it or not there is a whopping 17 songs from the new album, “The Block” which is due to be released soon. I managed to listen to the whole album, and a few songs kinda stood out, apart from their first single.

“Dirty Dancing”, “Lights Camera Action”, and this song, “2 in the Morning”. The album is pretty average, and a little too dancey for my liking. I would’ve preferred if they opted for a more adult-sounding album. Though I’m sure you NKOTB fans would beg to differ.

hahahaha.. i remember when i tear-down my aunt NKOTB wallpaper when i was in year 5.. hahaha i don’t get their music. But now, we even Jam “step by step” song..haha

fair enuf….it is a little too dancey even for a NKOTB fan like me. In fact, I din quite like summer time, to be honest. but that doesn’t mean I am over them, ok? fffaaarrrr fffrrrroooommmmm iiiiitttttt. To me, NKOTB is sorta like Duran Duran…you loved them so much when you were young that no matter what sh*t they produce now, you’ve gotta have some kind of excuse to like them.

I expected you to lambast them from here to the next milky way but your review was fair. was it because you got the album free??? LOL

Aj – Step by Step? LOL. My favorite song is Cover Girl. Don’t ask!

I love this song! I think its very mature and very heart felt. This was written by a man who went through this and went through a divorce. That man is Donnie Wahlberg. I think they are doing a great job! How the whole reunion has played out is genius!! Hyping it all up..all us fans hoping the rumors were true..and they actually were! I along with other BLOCKHEADS are soooooooooooooo happy and the excitement from year ago is all coming back.

I am a huge fan of NKOTB, is, was, and always will be. I honestly expected to not like the album, but I knew I would support them no matter what they came out with. I got my Deluxe version of The Block yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised. I love it all! And this is one of my favorite songs.

I read this post ages ago but didn’t managed to listen to the track you posted here until now.

I thought this is so much better than their “Summertime” or “Single” because for one thing, it’s kind of weird to listen to grown men like them talking about wanting to be “your BOYFRIEND”!

I love this CD. I hate boybands but the New Kids are the originals. Grown man Dirty dancing and 2 in the morning are all good- Check em out before you hate on them. Check out the AOL studio sessions of 2 in the morning. They are live and they sound f’in great for all of you who thought they couldn’t sing.
