Greek Holiday
Filed Under: BoyToy aka Husband, Pets - Kittens, Wedding Posted On: 09-18-2009 6 CommentsWell I am back! Hope you didn’t miss me too much? Greece in one word is hot! So hot!!

When we got their on the FriÂday it was really early in the mornÂing about 3am, so we just got into our apartÂment and went to bed until 1pm but with Greece’s 2 hours ahead thing, our bodÂies thought it was 11am. So once we got up and dressed went to the bar across from us and had a couÂple of drinks waitÂing for the rep who didn’t turned up!

HusÂband and me were so hunÂgry as we haven’t eaten for 24 hours and we didn’t know where to go plus it was rainÂing! ManÂaged to get a cab into the town cenÂtre only to find the car hire comÂpany had moved and we didn’t know where it was! WanÂderÂing around Kos in the rain was not enjoyÂable, we did find the car hire place in the end, it was about 30 minÂutes away from where the cab dropped off. We were at the car hire place only to find that it was shut, in Greece shops shut between 2pm and 5/6pm.

So we are hunÂgry, wet and no place will serve us food until 5pm, manÂaged to find a litÂtle cafe where we had club sandÂwich and burgÂers with garÂlic bread, soooo good! Not the best but when you are as hunÂgry as we were I would of eaten anything.

Got the car, drove to super marÂket brought a few bits and went back to the apartÂments only to see there was a super marÂket about 2/3 minÂutes walk from where we were stayÂing! AnyÂway the husÂband went to sleep and got up at 9pm, we had jam sandÂwiches and chatÂted on our balcony.
SatÂurÂday I manÂaged to go to the super marÂket up the road and buy some croisÂsants and other bits for the room while the husÂband was still asleep, these croisÂsants were huge! Like the size of a dinÂner plate!! Crazy and really cheap, we had orange juice and croisÂsants for breakÂfast, yum yum!
Also over night we had a huge topÂiÂcal thunÂderÂstorm, lightÂing, thunÂder and loads of rain, it had cleared up on SatÂurÂday though ![]()
We took our white hire car into Kos Town cenÂtre, we went and looked at all the ruins and the habour. Brought some postÂcards and wrote them
Rest of the evening we sat on the balÂcony and drank our lovely vodka and coke.

SunÂday, I was very proud of myself because it in that tiny kitchen I made fried egg and fried bread for the husÂband which he enjoyed lots! After we had breakÂfast we went for a ranÂdom drive up the mounÂtains and took so amazÂing pictures!!!

In the evening we went into Kos Town again, oh I forÂgot to say there are cats everyÂwhere in Kos, just wanÂderÂing around, we must of seen about 50 in our trip! Went to a great cafe right on the sea with views to turkey, had pizza and spag bol!

MonÂday, back into Kos Town to look around the shops, we also got to go a litÂtle train ride which takes you around the whole of kos town and went to McDonÂalds! After that we found a boat that did sunÂset cruises for 20 euros each which included a cockÂtail and buffet.

The boat had to be the best bit of our trip, it was amazÂing to go around the island, and so romanÂtic
Plus husÂband could eat the bufÂfet of cold pizza, cheese and ham.

TuesÂday, we went back into Kos Town, and went around the casÂtle, it was so hot I thought I was meltÂing!!! Then wanÂdered around the shops and home.
WednesÂday, we went back again to Kos Town and brought some more bits, went to dinÂner at a lovely cafe, husÂband had pizza and I had a salad really good!!
ThursÂday, we packed everyÂthing up, manÂaged to keep our room passed midÂday which was good as the husÂband didn’t have a good night sleep and ended up sleepÂing until 3pm, he went back to drop off the car and I wrote most of this blog entry.
Got to the airÂport the bus/coach was late, urgh, the airÂport was really busy because of delayed flights, was worÂried that our one was going to be delayed but lucky for us it wasn’t! Got home at about 6am to fleas.… Had to get flea treatÂment stuff from the vets, de-flea the house and get the kittens.
It is now 8pm and I haven’t slept for over 24 hours… urgh gonna go to bed soon.…
