Day 6 in Nancy’s Kitchen
Welcome to day 6 of a week in Nancy’s kitchen. We are really enjoying seeing and sharing this week with you and we hope that you are enjoying reading along.
Today was just about like any other day at our house. Everyone is out of pocket at the moment so I’ve no idea what was eaten by all during the day. And, the previous days that I have shared have provided for plenty of evaluation. I’m well aware that there is plenty of room for improvement.
Â
We tried a new recipe this evening, Curry Chicken and Broccoli Casserole. One of Kate’s favorites. There is a great tutorial here. I had tried a couple of curry dishes years ago (pre-children) and wasn’t very fond of them. Lawman liked them but then again, he eats just about anything. During the 2006-2007 school year we were host to an exchange student from Germany, Anne (pronounced Anna). Curry is a common ingredient in their dishes. Wanting to make Anne as comfortable as possible, we tried several dishes that were traditional German fare. One of the dishes we came to enjoy was a curry dish. Since Anne left in June 2007, we hadn’t had a curry dish until tonight. I prepared it as directed in the tutorial (see link above) and it was a hit among all. I served it with brown rice. It’s a recipe that may easily find its way in rotation at our house.Â
Â
Snacks available this evening will be ice cream bars. It’s warm here and I have yardwork to do yet this evening so cold ice cream will be a welcome treat. This is one of the many things I love about summer.
Â
I hope you’ve enjoyed the week as much as I have. Thanks for joining me.
Make sure you stop in throughout the week to see what other adventures Nancy is up to in her kitchen. And don’t forget to stop by her personal blog, 3 Blondes and the Law. Thank you for your willingness to open your kitchen to us all Nancy. It has been an interesting week so far!
If you are interested in participating as a guest blogger for this 3 Moms feature, please leave us a comment or send us an email at 3moms@happytobeathome.net. We are looking for a variety of women willing to open their kitchens for one week to all of our readers. You do not even have to have your own blog in order to participate.
