Archive.org has made available the entire text of The Eclectic Manual of Methods for the Assistance of Teachers, originally published in 1885, which is interesting reading for any homeschooling parent, but especially those who use McGuffey’s or Spencer curricula. The information is surprisingly applicable to today. HomeschoolViewTube is the homeschooler’s educational alternative to YouTube. Studying the Code of Hammurabi in history? Here’s the entire Code of Laws (at least 282 of them) available online. This recipe for Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Spread is perfect for the Thanksgiving season. Your kids thinking about what career they might like to pursue as adults? The Bureau of Labor and Statistics provides some well-organized information about various career fields. Want to feel a little smarter? Visit TipNut.com. There’s a little bit of everything on this wonderful site. I’m a visual person, so I like seeing how things are done. MonkeySee abounds with thousands of How-To videos about anything from cooking and personal finance to auto repair and makeup!
