WordPress Plugin - Stray Random Quotes

I was activating plug ins over at Aupair Meeting Place this evening as part of a WordPress Install and I found a new random quote WordPress Plug in that I thought I would share.

It looks as though I will be replacing the random quote wordpress plugin I currently have on all my sites as the Stray Random Quotes Plugin offers TWO very important features lacking in any previous random quote Word Press Plug in I have reviewed;

1) The ability to INSERT LINKS into your quote (think affiliate marketing here).

2) The ability to bold and italic (limited html options but still better then NO options).

With a little practice you can also insert the quotes throughout your entire WordPress blog including within comments,Â posts, and pages (not just within widgets).

Here’sÂ a great feature ->Â BookMarklet. Simply drag it onto your tool bar and create random quotes while you surf the Internet ( I am using this in FireFox.)

Youtube on your WordPress Blog

There are two things I am looking for in a WordPress plugin to help me integrate YouTube videos onto the Her Media Social Media and Blogging Blog. (I am beginning to think that my blog’s descriptive title is a tongue twister.)

1.) A player that displays YouTube video easily into any WordPress side bar using a widget AND to any WordPress post or page.

2.) A way to randomly present any of my favourite YouTube video resources to share with readers. So you aren’t seeing the same ‘features’ video each time you stop by.

The YouTube WordPress Plugin I am sharing with you today is Smart YouTube. It’s genius.

A few features I REALLY like:

Being able to create borders and the players appearance to match your blog Ability to stream a playlist from YouTube Being able to size the player to fit sidebars Being able to display High Def Video

BlackBerry and WordPress

It was only a matter of time once I left the Palm Treo behind in favour of a BlackBerry that I would find myself needing to be able to blog on the fly with my BlackBerry.

WordPress blogging via a Blackberry Blackberry’s web browser will log into my WordPress Admin panel however it was time consuming and cumbersome. Of course WordPress has plugins for everything just as BlackBerry has applications for everything.
