Don’t be a studio puppet or a robot that just performs what is told of her. Be part of the process, and you’ll be happy with the end result.

Being comfortable with yourself is part of that equation. Overthinking things not only makes you uncomfortable, but it translates to the screen. Not only that, but it can affect your entire being. Be smart, but also keep a good sense of humor and the ability to breathe through the tough times.

Understand that it’s the other person’s insecurities and jealousies that are probably causing them to try to cut you down, but reacting strongly to it is only going to confirm their assumptions that you are someone they can use to make themselves feel better. Don’t let them win.

People who’d never say something horrible in real life will do it again and again and again online. It’s like the behavior of crowds, or those mass beatings where no one gets blamed because everyone’s at fault.

When someone tries to mess with you, tries to cut you down, tries to tell you that you’re not worth something – LAUGH IT OFF. It is important to remember that. You can always go and take out your aggressions elsewhere, like at a gym. But as far as your public persona is concerned, you MUST be your own PR representative. Don’t let it get to you.

The biggest problem that a lot of girls face is that they have no experience. When I started, I didn’t even like snapshots, much less know how to pose when it came to posed shots. And when you include nudity, your own insecurities about your body, and another person’s naked body into the equation…you can see how nervewracking it might get.

I don’t care if a production company tells you that “It’s OK, the guy we use is totally clean”, or “I’m the one you’ll be doing the scene with and I am totally a-ok” – NEVER EVER EVER do a scene with talent that is not tested. EVER. EVER EVER EVER.
