Why is the 2257 paperwork so important?

Posted by Kelly Shibari On October - 12 - 2008

It seems that as long as there are people willing to create adult entertainment in its many forms, there will always be a battle between the liberal free speech and art advocates, and the decision to uphold the moral protection of general society by government.

So What are You Comfortable Doing?

Don’t be a studio puppet or a robot that just performs what is told of her. Be part of the process, and you’ll be happy with the end result.

Don’t Overthink – You’ll Get Sick!

Posted by Kelly Shibari On October - 5 - 2008

Being comfortable with yourself is part of that equation. Overthinking things not only makes you uncomfortable, but it translates to the screen. Not only that, but it can affect your entire being. Be smart, but also keep a good sense of humor and the ability to breathe through the tough times.

Any Press is Not Always Good Press

Understand that it’s the other person’s insecurities and jealousies that are probably causing them to try to cut you down, but reacting strongly to it is only going to confirm their assumptions that you are someone they can use to make themselves feel better. Don’t let them win.

Frothing at the Mouse

What should you be taking with you to a set so that you appear professional, prepared, and ready to not be taken advantage of? It depends on the shoot, but primarily a “kit” will consist of:

Learning How to Pose

Posted by Kelly Shibari On September - 26 - 2008

The biggest problem that a lot of girls face is that they have no experience. When I started, I didn’t even like snapshots, much less know how to pose when it came to posed shots. And when you include nudity, your own insecurities about your body, and another person’s naked body into the equation…you can see how nervewracking it might get.

Getting Tested

Posted by Kelly Shibari On September - 24 - 2008

I don’t care if a production company tells you that “It’s OK, the guy we use is totally clean”, or “I’m the one you’ll be doing the scene with and I am totally a-ok” – NEVER EVER EVER do a scene with talent that is not tested. EVER. EVER EVER EVER.
