While visiting a church recently, a severely obese pastor delivered a sermon. I had a tough time listening to the sermon about the failure of “Christians to witness.” I fell into the sin of judging him based on his obesity. As I glanced around the congregation, the majority of the people were overweight. I’m only human and couldn’t help but wonder why there wasn’t a message being taught about taking care of the bodies God has given us.
Overeating seems to be one of the sins which most pastors, Christians, reverends, and priests overlook. If “gluttony is a sin,” why is “Christian America” one of the “fattest nations“? It’s a serious issue which is seldom discussed despite a growing number of “christian” based weight loss programs.

Be part of something different.
Please know we want DIFFERENT. There are plenty of wonderful “Christian Blogs” out there for fine, churchgoing Christians to read and slap their AMEN onto. We have no desire to be another one of those.
We want our writers to have a bit of an edge to them. Speak to people who do not speak the church lingo who may have left the church and have no desire to be IN CHURCH but still desire a relationship with Christ.
Step 1: Please check us out to determine whether you feel a fit with our current content, and feel free to send a submission/sample post to the email addy listed below.
Step 2: Here’s our call for submissions:
Humble O Radio has its roots in conversations over coffee.Â
These conversations were between people of faith who were wondering where God was in the midst of trials. Some well meaning people would shoot from the theological hip but that wasn’t good enough for them and frankly, it isn’t good enough for you.
The audio, video and written blogs on this site are here for people from all walks of life at all stages in their journey of faith, even when they feel like they’ve gotten off the path and have no faith. No worries, that hand that used to guide you is still there for you to hold too.
Humble O Radio is a live and interactive online radio stream that will feature music, compelling talk and interesting blogs from a Christian World View. We are looking for bloggers who are interested in writing weekly on the following topics (200-500 words per article).
Parenting Finances World Religions World Politics Health Music Art - Theater Technology and Gadgets Science Empty Nest Grand Parenting
Payment is in web exposure and the gratification of a great team environment. We’re doing something so unique, it’s been catching on organically even through a lazy winter. Just wait till we start actually working on it.
If you are interested please send samples of your writing and/or direct us to your blog to review your other writings by emailing us at humbleoradio @ gmail.com…be sure to close the gaps before and after the @ in the address for it to work properly.

Look deeply inside
“Specially created for Harvard biology students, this eight-minute computer-animated film reveals the beauty and hidden cycle of intricate organic mechanisms at work at the molecular level. The focus is on how white blood cells respond and react to external stimuli. Everything that you see in this clip, the unusual orchestra of Nuclei, proteins, and lipids, are actions that are taking place right now in your body, in every individual cell. This includes one of the most surprising sequences–the motor protein plodding along on two pod-like feet along a track, carrying behind it a sphere of lipids. As cartoonish as that sequence looks, biologists report it’s an accurate rendering.”

Sustainable living encompasses a lot of complex issues. But is it so complex to actually improve your own individual way of living?
No. If it were, I’d be too lazy to do it.
I would venture to say that most of North America has some kind of sustainable infrastructure in place these days. Urbanites needn’t fear their lack of available dirt—in fact, you may want to have your soil tested for chemical residues and heavy metals before you try growing anything in it. You just don’t know.

Yesterday, I had an idea for a topic. Today, I just can’t remember it. Today, I am reminded that the days of life are going by. I have heard people say that time flies for them; I still don’t know what time is. That is more rhetorical than actual. No, I don’t always intentionally pun. Well, let me not waste that which I don’t know and get to the topic. “Soul Bling.†Soul bling has been flashing through my mind lately, in particular “Christian t-shirts.â€
