Are they morels by any chance? Been trying to get my hands on them for a while now!
morels are pricey. these are not. ;-)

Some kind of dried fruit I think, but I can’t imagine what. I’m so curious.

Dried apricot[zardaloo,khubani]! Khubani ka meeta is a famous Hyderabadi sweet made of these.And Parsis make zardaloo …something[not getting the name:(]

My vote is with dried mushrooms. I was going to say whole shelled walnuts but they would look a little more uniform I thought. Very interesting though…can’t wait to find out
