We’re two Americans born in India.

Not so long ago, we lost our friend Hari Muthuswamy to leukemia. Young, energetic, here one day, gone the next. This blog is dedicated to all those battling cancer, and their loved ones. We commend your strength, and welcome your input.

This blog is our means of reasserting our commitment to a natural, healthier lifestyle, and to a less toxic world. That’s what we like to think. In reality, we simply use this space to talk about the inconsequential minutiae of our day to day lives, one post at a time.

Jugalbandi (from the Sanskrit yugala meaning duet, and bandhana meaning combination) connotes two performers in concert fusing different instruments or systems of music.

Ours is a different kind of “jam session”. We’re two people with strong opinions and varied tastes, who experiment with food, photography and a range of assorted activities. We also laugh, live, and enjoy the outdoors (and make excuses to shirk the gym) together.

Since so many of you would like to know which camera we use, our current model is Canon 5D Mark II.

We’re vegetarians (recently turned vegan) with serious fitness goals. We seek to foster a more conscious approach to the food we consume, the thoughts we harbour, and the environment that sustains us.
