Surprise Guest!
Mike Mignola has made a surprise appearence at The Comic Bug. Mignola spent time talking with B.P.R.D.: 1946 writer Joshua Dysart about upcoming projects and showing off the first issue “Hellboy: The Crooked Man”. Dysart and Mignola are currently working on writing the sequel to B.P.R.D: 1946 aptly titled B.P.R.D.: 1947.

Scott Koblish inker on “Brave And The Bold” and artist on “Marvel Adventures Iron Man” has just shown up at The Comic Bug. Koblish has already been overwhelmed by young fans who want to get a drawing of this weekends box office hit “Iron Man”.

Simpsons artist Phil Ortiz has just arrived at the Comic Bug. Ortiz will do a sketch with the purchase of any Simpsons comic book from his table.

If you show your library card from any of the LA County libraries today at The Comic Bug you get a free graphic novel from those on display at their table. Don’t have one? Several libraries are here to sign you up for a card which entitles you to a free graphic novel from their table as well.
Free Legos!
Mr. B’s Bricks in Redondo Beach is here running a free raffle for the chance to win some superhero themed Legos. The raffle will be held every hour on the hour between now and 4 pm. Kids can also stop by and play with Legos they have set out on a table.
Free Comic Book Day at The Comic Bug
SuperMan, Wonder Woman and the Incredible Hulk from “Confessions Of A Super Hero” are all on hand this Free Comic Book Day. All fans get a special sketch page that entitles them to one free sketch from any of the artists here today. The artists are beginning to arrive and so far Joshua Dysart (writer “B.P.R.D: 1946″), Jose Cabrera (artist “Crying Macho Man), Robbi Rodriguez (artist “Maintenance”), Rafeal Navarro (writer/artist “Sonambulo”), Sam Sarker (writer “Caliber”), Lee Kohse (artist “Kindergoth”), Javier Hernandez (writer/artist “El Muerto”) and Brett Nance (artist “Spaz”) are already signing for the huge line of fans in attendance.
