Two cups sit.
Neither are empty,
yet neither are full.
Can we not pour
one into the other?

The Battle of Fulfillment
there’s this dream, then I’m awake.

Poetry is Divine Force.
It smacks you on the back of the head until you listen.

This is kinda cool. Found it in an old binder. It’s dated November of 1999. That means I had just turned 17, so forgive any horribles, ok?

Snowblind
I’m twisted
I’m losing my faith
I’m falling so far
I can’t get away
Death draws me closer
I can hear no sound
All I can see
is dew-covered ground
It beckons to me
“Come closer my [...]

Wrinkled time
conspires against me.
The liquid clockwork
voice moves to
dance with me.
I cannot see her
through the dense
liquid. I only hear
the clockwork motions.
We tango, back and forth,
to the rhythm of
a metronome,
moving in directions
that I could
never understand.
Am I just
another cog?

My shattered form.
My broken wings.
I am nothing now,
but white powder.

For the first time on Loki Listens, I’m going to publish a poem I am actually sort of proud of. Hopefully someone will enjoy it as much as I do.

Drink in the night.
Can you feel this flavor?
The wine is deep red.
The love is crystal clear.
Drink with me.
This cup we share.
We are not this.
We never [...]

She fell asleep that night, in my arms.
I can’t remember the last thing
that she said to me.
When morning came,
I was alone.
So quickly, so suddenly,
it was all over.
I don’t remember arguments.
I don’t remember fights.
I thought we were pretty happy.
I’ll try not to think next time.

Ignore delusion.
Find the center.
Move up beyond
the silver halo.
Grab your darkness
And force through it.
Climb the Tree.
Meet the truly solitary.
Embrace your soul.

Don’t bother with this one. It’s poetry. Blah.

Someone’s down the corner.
Sitting on the street.
He holds up a sign
that no one reads.
You ignore him.
I ignore you.
Pretty soon…
We’re all three on the corner.

Okay, there it is.

Meet my thunder!
Meet my rain!
I break the firmament
and cleanse this world.
I am Tlaloc,
Father of Rain.
I am Tlaloc,
I am every rain drop.
I am every lightning crash.
I am Tlaloc.
Meet my thunder!
Meet my rain!
-Loki.
