Yesterday we began a turn in a new direction, given a new moon to indicate the ebb and flow cycles that are the cornerstone of our earth. This is an odd image, for the cornerstone is typically square and stands as the one constant on which everything else is built.
Is this what we have today, the coming together of allies, the yin and the yang that makes our world go around? Today is December 17, 2009, and in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar it is 9 Ahau, the Light.
So many people work so hard to predict what will come in the future. Even the most successful business people fall into putting more attention on what will come tomorrow, leaving today in the hands of those who only know what is placed in their hands. What of today, does it not build tomorrow?
Ahau is the glyph or symbol for the light. We can see this symbol as our source, the cornerstone for whatever we might build. In the Mayan calendar Ahau is the last of the 20 glyphs, and this is a great place to set as our guiding light. But the Mayan calendar also turns in a circle, with the ebb and flow cycles. Any new cycle is always preceded by the light.
