Movie Stinger was created by Nitruc Media and launched in the summer of 2007. Then re-launched with a more user friendly interface in January 2008. Movie Stinger is a free and easy to use website, which allows people to find out whether or not movies have extra footage or scenes after the credits.

Why was MovieStinger.com developed?

The majority of people who watch movies tend to leave the theater as soon as the credits pop up just to have someone tell them later that they missed the extra scene after the credits. Since the 1960’s movie producers have been adding extra footage after the credits and since then more and more movies are now including movie stingers. Each year the amount of movies that have stingers after the credits greatly increases. Our site allows users to quickly view whether or not movies have stingers without spoiling the ending for them. Users can also find out what happens during stingers, rate stingers and even share and discuss their thoughts through comments.

As of right now MovieStinger.com uses Gravatar to allow users to upload their own images. A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. You can sign up on the gravatar website or by checking the sign up option when commenting on a post. There’s no spam associated with signing up for a gravatar, so no need to worry.
