In turn, this could become a security blanket for the cat, as long as the fabric is not chewed and swallowed. Your cat may eventually stop the sucking or not. From plain to good smelling when they scratch at it or dig to sand to soft pellets. There is not a particular type that will help with the training of the cat. It is totally up to you and your cat. Some cats do not like smells and so this would be a consideration that you might want to find out if your cat will use the box with these types of litter.

They have scoopers out that you can purchase to help clean up the litter box when the cat uses it so that they have a clean environment to go to when they need to. Another thing is that you would want to have a clean environment for this for your family too. Family member can get sick off of cat litter, clean and dirty.

Do not let the kitten play with your hand or feet, as this will allow the behavior to be a positive behavior. You will need to teach your kitten that this type of behavior is not acceptable.

Train your kitten with the correct behaviors for rough play. Have toys that will intrigue the kitten to play with, pull toys, put a small stuff toy on a string, and pull the toy. Allow the kitten to pounce, bite, or chase the toy. Allow the cat to rough play with a larger toy; this will help to stimulate the aggression behavior that is natural in a kitten.

For these to be effective you must do a surprising sound immediately when the unwanted behaviors are being done. Seconds later or even when you come home and find the unwanted behavior done is not going to be effective as doing it as soon as the cat starts the unwanted behavior.

Never rub the nose of the cat. Use the face push method, pushing the palm of you hand in the cats face. This is a great way to let your cat know that biting is not acceptable, if you have a cat that is biting. Simply push the cats face back gently, do not hit the cat.

Scratching on different items can create a big problem, like scratching on your favorite chair. It’s a normal thing for a cat to scratch, but get things that are appropriate for them to scratch on. Place them around the house so that there is not just one scratching post.

Make sure that you trim your kittens nails at least once a week. If there continues to be a reoccurring problem with scratching you may want to consider having them de-clawed. If you don’t want your kitten to be de-clawed, you should be able to go to the pet store to purchase booties. This will help them from scratching on furniture or other things.

Changing the cat’s diet also can help. Usually in older cats, the dry food becomes hard to chew and you will need to change to soft food or a wet cat food. When doing this you will want to be careful with changing the diet.

Take small steps; start with mixing small amounts with some dry food. In addition, of course leave the dry food for the rest of the meal. Allow the cat to eat the mix food you gave first then the rest of the dry food. You can do this until you have completely changed over to the other food. Important to remember to get the cat to the vet to make sure there is no under lying medical problem with your cat. .

Is your cat rubbing it bottom all over the floor? This may not really be a sign of worms. Look at your cat’s diet and physiology. If a cat is eating their own hair this will pass though the cat but will become uncomfortable for them to pass. If the long hair is hanging out the bottom this is a way that your cat is using to remove the rest of the hair. Taking the cat to the vet is the best thing for de worming and examination. Keeping your cat groomed is very important especially in long hair cats daily grooming is required. This will help with the cat chewing the hair.
