Watching that much TV can’t be good

Yesterday’s movie was The Manchurian Candidate which I missed when it came out in cinemas (and the past three years). Great movie for a Friday night.

What am I doing now? Watching TV, of course. The new series of Primeval, to be more specific.

Update: This first episode of the series has been filmed in Bentall Centre, in Kingston-Upon-Thames, our local shopping centre when we were living in Malden Manor. It’s funny how obvious bloopers are when you know the location of filming quite well.

Christmas is the time to indulge in movies

I SPENT most of the Christmas and New Year holidays watching random movies.

A Lot Like Love

This is my favourite of the lot. It is a simple love story, yet it makes you feel like falling in love all over again just by watching it.

I Am Legend

Like 28 Days Later and 12 Monkeys, this movie has a theme that disturbs me a lot — the idea of Man becoming extinct makes me very uneasy — but I enjoyed it nonetheless. And I think the dog deserves an award.

The Others

This movie is The Sixth Sense, but inside-out. If you have watched it, you will know what I mean.

Shooter

I do not like Mark Wahlberg a lot, but I think he plays good action movies.

The Family Man

This is another great romantic comedy with a Christmas feel.

I also enjoyed the older HouseSitter and Rain Man.

It seems I have hit my limit of how many movies I can take: the three Terminator movies are playing back-to-back on TV, yet I cannot be bothered.

Eddy.
