(Las Vegas, Nevada) – In March of 2008, MGM Mirage announced the model for an enormous building complex of casinos and hotels worth $7 billion. The construction is underway and employs 8,000 construction workers and 39 cranes on site at the peak of construction. It is projected to open at the end of 2009 and will create 12,000 new permanent positions once open representing the largest single new employment opportunity in Las Vegas history.
