Virtual Assistants – Do you know what your clients want?

There’s nothing more frustrating for a Virtual Assistant than feeling that they’re not contributing or doing a ‘good job’ for their client.

In most cases Virtual Assistants want long-term and profitable client relationships … yet have no idea how to get there.

This happens for many reasons … but primarily it’s because Virtual Assistants have no clue what their clients really want.

This really isn’t the fault of the Virtual Assistant.  In many cases, the client has never shared what they really want and need from their VA.  They just expect it to happen.

That’s why my friends Cindy Greenway and Tina Forsyth have asked Andrea J. Lee, an Entrepreneurial Futurist, to share with you what clients really want from Virtual Assistants (and have a hard time finding).

This is one of the most important calls Cindy and Tina will host to date.  And it’s free for you to listen in.

This FREE call will be held on Tuesday April 6, 2010 at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern. To get the call-in details, click here and click on the popup to be taken to the opt-in box.

You may be experiencing a breakdown in your relationship with your client. You’re doing everything you can, you’re even putting in extra hours (at no extra cost to your client), yet your client has become even more difficult.

Andrea will share with you exactly why this is happening and what you can do to save or release this business relationship. Once you know what clients really want, you’ll be able to better assist them.

You don’t want to miss this … click here to hold your spot now.

Last week at #wtlead!

Last week I was in Vancouver for Andrea J Lee‘s event “The Wealthy Thought Leader“. I registered for this live event 4 months in advance, something I never do. I’m very much a spontaneous person and as such I do things last minute. So why did I register for this event 4 months in advance? Well, Andrea has had such a profound impact on my businesses and my life. If it weren’t for Andrea I never would have had the courage to write my first book. I would have never had the courage to charge what I am worth and package my services. I also wouldn’t have hit the 6 figure mark last year. I would have been struggling with hourly work and struggling to pay my mortgage. Thankfully, Andrea and I have worked together one-on-one and in group coaching for a few years now.

When Andrea notified me of the event in Vancouver back in November, I immediately went to her site, scrolled down to click “register here” and paid for my registration. I will admit, I didn’t even read what the event would be about as I buy anything Andrea puts out there. That’s how much I trust her and value her insights.

At the event I wondered if I was learning anything. When I got home my brain wouldn’t shut up! I had all kinds of thoughts running around in my head. But they weren’t low quality thoughts, my thoughts had “grown up” so to speak. I found I was thinking about real juicy stuff. Stuff that would change the lives of others, that would have an impact on those I work with and that would make being a business owner more exciting! A reason to wake up with a jump in my step each day. Other participants referred to this as the Thought Leader Hangover! :)

Andrea is truly a thought leader. Her event alone was unlike others. She included an option for people around the world to join the event from video broadcast. She blended offline and online technologies to bring her participants together and deepen the learning. You were not handed a boring conference binder to somehow stuff in your suitcase! The binder was replaced with a “playbook”. Those are just a few of the key changes Andrea made to the conference world. There are plenty more but rumor has it another Wealthy Thought Leader event is being planned for October. I suggest you register and see all the thought leadership for yourself!

A goal successfully achieved: “The Coaching Show”

Back in 2004 while I was working a full time job (and making my plan to escape the office and enter Entrepreneurship,) I would try to educate myself as much as possible. This included listening to audio about marketing, building a business and coaching, of course. I would listen to it while I worked. In the technology industry it is normal to listen to music while you worked. Background noise helped us focus!

Anyhow, I don’t even know how I stumbled upon it, but I found The Coaching Show and I was hooked! I would listen every week and listen to the archives as well. I fully enjoyed all the valuable information I learned and implemented through the show.

I loved the show so much I thought to myself, “I sure hope one day I get to be interviewed on The Coaching Show“. Well, tomorrow is my day!

Last week I was asked by the producer to be on the show and I grabbed the very first spot available! So please join me at 11am eastern October 14th 2009, or listen to the audio in the archives after the show.

I will be talking about WordPress blogsites, how marketing is different in 2009, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and virtual conferences!

“see” you there!
Sandra

Flipping Out No Matter Your Experience, Age or Interest

This past weekend we took my husband’s parents to see the construction of our new house. When we were leaving I thought about taking my Flip video camera but I remembered that I had not charged the batteries and so I couldn’t bring it with me. When we got to our destination, my in-laws were shocked at how much of the house had been built already. In the corner of my eye I saw my Father-in-law take a picture with his camera, or so I thought. It wasn’t a camera in his hands, it was the new Flip video camera that I picked up for him!

A month ago, I brought my Flip video cameras (yes, I have 2 of them), to a family golfing event. My Father-in-law who loves technology but admits he has no idea how to use a computer, fell in love with my Flip camera. He asked me how it worked, what buttons to press and how much it was. He was sold and so was my sister-in-law. Both of them now own Flips and why? They told me it’s because they are small, don’t have a lot of buttons and they are very simple to use.

My sister-in-law easily captures funny moments of her daughters in a flash (pun intended). While my Father-in-law has a new toy that he will use like crazy while on vacation in a few weeks, along with his awesome digital camera.

How to increase your fees and still get more clients!

I’m a firm believer of not dropping your rates for any reason. You devalue your work when you do that and you are not being fair to clients who are paying your full rates! In “these economic times” more and more people have been dropping their rates with the hope to attract more clients, and the result is ungrateful clients, recentful entrepreneurs and more frustration. Luckily my friend Hannah McNamara is here to help! She’s offering a free tele-seminar July 9th called “How to increase your fees and still get MORE clients“.
Hannah is an expert in marketing, coaching and money making. She’s an absolute pleasure to hear and learn from, but don’t take my word for it, go to her site and sign up for her tele-seminar “How to increase your fees and still get MORE clients“.

Adult AD/HD Coach Jennifer Koretsky on the Today Show Goes Viral

My good friend and masterminder buddy Jennifer Koretsky was on the Today Show last weekend! She’s a successful AD/HD Coach who is the founder of www.AddManagement.com and author of Odd One Out! You have to watch this video for a few reasons:

Jen speaks with authority and ease. She’d be a fabulous keynote speaker! Check out the fabulous work the Today Show does in promoting a guests book (I will admit it, I drooled) At the end of the video the host messes up a little which is why this video became viral and you’ll know why when you hear it!
