When my husband I decided to become debt free, one of the first things I did was check out every finance, thrifty living, and get out of debt book I could find at our library. Other than my bible that was all I read last summer. There were many great books out there, and a few really bad ones. I did find that in most books I didn’t agree with everything or every idea the authors were promoting, but I could glean something from almost every book.
Here is a list of the books I found particularly helpful:
The best thing about it was that it didn’t cost me a penny.

Those books are good but the one that kicked it off for me was Free and Clear by Howard Dayton. What do you think of his book?

I loved Tightwad Gazette also. It changed my whole thinking about how life should be. It is amazing how many people love it.

Oh and you need to check out Larry Burket stuff–they are quite motivational too–I especially liked
