I’ve finally purchased a dSLR – the entry level Nikon D3000, along with the included AF-S 18-55/3.5-5.6 DX ED II kit lens that comes with it, 2 2gb sd cards, and a nikon camera bag. I’m pretty happy about the update, even though I lost my previous camera when it was full of a week’s worth of holiday pictures! Oh well, c’est la vie. I do also have a tripod but it’s quite rubbish – it won’t support the weight of my new camera!
I’ve left the donate bottom down in the bottom of this page,  however. If you  feel the need to discharge large amounts of money into a stranger’s paypal account, by no means feel shy about  doing so using my donate button. You’re welcome!
This is what I used to have:
I have a little ultracompact camera, a Samsung NV30. It’s a great compact to be sure, but it’s still a limited little compact anyway.
Other equipment I use is:
A single 1GB SD card;
A camera pouch;
The wrist band I took off my phone (also a Samsung coincidentally); (Update, I’ve actually had two since then – small ones but still fine).
Google’s very own Picasa (on my quite decent laptop);
Occasionally Gimp;
Flat(tish), stable surfaces to replace the lovely, much needed tripod I’ve never had.
