My FTP WordPress Plugin: Manage files on your server from within WordPress. Some plugins of this type drastically increase the time it takes to load pages due to having to probe the database for information each time they are run. In addition, many similar plugins use javascript, further consuming precious bandwidth that could be better utilized elsewhere.
