This is the HQ of the PCF, the Parti Communiste Francais, a magnificent building designed by my hero Oscar Niemeyer, and this is the place from which all of France would have been ruled if history just have taken a slightly different course. It is difficult to imagine now, but when this building was conceived and constructed in the 1960s, the Cold War was still raging, and it didn't require a great flight of mind to imagine an electoral victory of the Communists and that the ruling order would tip over to the same model that was having (perceived) successes in Eastern Europe. France was already well on its way in that general direction, with nationalized car factories and a semi-planned economy. And, believe it or not, it actually worked for some time.
If a Communist would have happened, this place would have housed the Politbureau, the so called avant-garde of the proletariat, but in reality, faceless bureaucrats, and they would meet under the white dome in the center of the picture.
I often imagine an alternative history, where the riots of 1968 would have ended differently, and this would have been the heart of French governement.
As it is, I came along here last evening, a sunset smiling in the distance, and the place was eerily quiet, no one in sight. It wasn't the first time I came along here (I've even been inside the place), but as you can see it was a nice evening to take pictures. I went around, and as I neared the entry of the parking lot I heard this strange crackling sound. I wondered what it was, and approached a bit, and I noticed a very run down interphone, from which emanated a lot of static and something that sounded like someone talking. I approached even further, and indeed, a voice come out, either having found its way through the ages, or coming from a parallel universe. C'est interdit!, it cackled, pas de photos! I didn't say what I should have said, ("go ahead, as soon as your revolution comes you can come and pick me up"), I just ignored it the same way everyone these days ignores the PCF, and I continued my stroll through the 19th arrondisement enjoying the warmth of a warm summer evening.

NO multi-invites and graphics , Thank you
Fake HDR from a single exposure shot
Not the best HDR on flickr , that's for sure...I went out for shooting some photos today because I don't work and the weather was wonderful , I took many diffrent shots but I wasn't really excited about them , this photo is one of them..And when I decided to go home , on the road I see a very interesting man with a perfect face for my fav portraiture style , I pulled over and went to him wondering if it would be an easy task to photograph him or if he would deny an resist...So I said Hi and he replied Hi too..I took immediately a piece of change and gave it to him ,he accepted it , then asked him if it is OK if I take a photo of him , he said no problem , I took a burst of like 20 photos and I was veryyy excited because I knew that I had a big catch today lool , so when I took the road back I was happy because i knew that I had a great photo in the camera and that I didn't waste my time then got home with poor photos like this one above..i'll post the portrait tomorrow or maybe the day after..Hope I didn't bore you with my story guys..Sorry for the English :D
