While Virtual Console NES games are cheap, I’d still rather not waste money buying a game that turns out to be junk. Sometimes, a video of the gameplay just isn’t enough. One way to try-before-you-buy is to use vNES, a web based (Java applet) Nintendo Entertainment System emulator.

The TurboGrafx-16 avalanche continues !
This week the Australian Wii Shop got a bunch of new TurboGrafx-16 titles, and a few Sega Megadrive games thrown in for good measure.
Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention (Sega Megadrive) is a tactical RPG with turn based gameplay. If you are into RPGs, watch the video to get a feel for how it plays … I generally avoid RPGs like the plague, but this sort of reminds me of Rogue, which I really enjoy, so I may be enticed to try it out on a rainy day.
