by T Marko on Aug 6th, 2011Remember the leak that came out before? Well apparenlty that wasn’t the final product. Â Here we get a nice treat with DJ Premier, Em and Royce all on one track. Â It will come as a bonus on the deluxe version of Success is Certain which is doomed to be overshadowed when it comes out August 9.

Bad Meets Evil Tops Charts At #1 On Billboard
by TS Wun on Jul 2nd, 2011Via RF
Eminem and his star power almost surely guarantees heavy sales on any project that bears his name and the trend continued this week as Slim Shady’s newest release Hell: The Sequel – alongside longtime friend Royce Da 5’9 as Bad Meets Evil – gets the distinction of debuting atop the Billboard 200 charts.
For Eminem, the Billboard position is a familiar haunt as the Motor City bad boy has ruled the charts for much of the past decade and remains a record selling phenomenon. In Royce Da 59’s case however, this marks the first time the highly vaunted MC has reached such lofty status. Clocking in at 166, 992 in sales, Hell: The Sequel shows just how powerful Eminem’s brand is as there has been little promotional push and no clear cut smash single to speak of.
Fans on Twitter showed their support of Slim Shady and Nickel Nine’s latest, with some expecting the release to sell as high as it did while others seeing this as a chance for Royce to get his due after so much early promise. Twitter fan @CraigSJenkins tweeted, “Any Eminem project is a lock for at least 6 figure 1st week sales. He is practically the biggest selling artist of our time.†User @ArmedPropaganda said of the EP’s sale, “It’s proof that people still want quality music.â€
The positive comments continued with, “Big shout out to Royce & Em (Bad Meets Evil) on having the number 1 album on Billboard, very well deserved. The album is crazy lyrical.†Fan @Darealrome humorously added, “Bad Meets Evil went #1, I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again… Eminem is the Rap cheat code.†User @Atilla shouted out Royce Da 5’9 by tweeting, “Eminem & Royce da 5’9″ (Bad Meets Evil) have the #1 album in the country. This is great news for Royce, who needed it.â€
Hell: The Sequel marks the reunion of the Detroit rhyme slingers after a tiff between Royce and Eminem split the pair apart after a promising few tracks over a decade ago.

Bad Meets Evil Meets Converse (Video)
by Mr. 5 Star on Jun 18th, 2011Last week, we chatted with Bad Meets Evil (Eminem and Royce da 5’9″) about their new album, their styles, and some limited edition Chuck Taylor All Star shoes we made with them.
Bad Meets Evil’s Hell: The Sequel is available now. First impressions?

Sidenote: I’m sorry Em. You my mans and all but there is absolutely no reason to still have a flip phone in 2011. My moms, who is like double your age doesn’t even have one.

Omar Linx – See You In Hell Feat. Royce Da 5’9 & Joell Ortiz
by TS Wun on Jun 14th, 2011Making his first appearance on 5 Star Hip Hop is Toronto native, Omar Linx. Of course, having  half of Slaughterhouse on your shit, will get you posted real quick. Just sayin’.
The Toronto based rapper is becoming increasingly popular, due to his crossover work with dubstep producers ‘Zeds Dead’. Omar LinX brings a fresh new style to hip-hop. His raspy vocals pack a serious punch and are complimented by his choice of producers. Lyrically LinX is versatile, able to achieve honest and haunting introspection on some tracks while on others keeping the lyrical content light and full of punchlines. ‘City of Ommz’ features appearances from Royce Da 5?9?, Joell Ortiz, Emilio Rojas along with production from MoSS, Zeds Dead, Arthur McArthur and more.

Eminem & Royce Da 5’9″ – Fast Lane (Video)
by Slant on Jun 8th, 2011I really like this video. It shows that Em & Royce aren’t afraid to have fun with it and mess around. Plus, I really don’t think the public needs another video where rappers drive nice cars and throw money in the air. Hell: The Sequel drops June 14th.
