This is only the first time I’ve seen reference to Omniture outside of my job … which uses them extensively.

There are phone-home capabilities built into not only Photoshop, but even some printers. This is beyond dispute. If you try to work on an image of US currency on a modern version of Photoshop, the FBI will get a report the next time that machine is connected to the internet. That doesn’t necessarily mean a thing about this story … but it makes for interesting context.

Finally … as a photographer, I don’t know anyone who uses Photoshop but not Bridge. The read more link says Bridge is one of only three ways Adobe software is capable of logging actions to their analytics software … but for most people, Bridge gets as much use as Photoshop. The two are almost inseperable.
