It is such a simple differentiator for tech firms, but we forget it so often. What the customer wants to accomplish — not how they do it or what we think is cool — that’s really important. Sure, we may start with a very personal vision of what works, but the firm that takes the extra effort to determine user intent, even if it isn’t always right, is the firm that delivers that moment of delight from customers.
