Engaging the culture by challenging the status quo
(foxnews.com) CHICAGO  Police have stepped up their search for a missing pharmaceutical company sales representative after finding the 28-year-old woman’s car near an abandoned building.
Nailah Franklin was last heard from Tuesday, when she sent an uncharacteristically vague text message to friends and family saying that she was having dinner and that she’d call later. She never did.
Franklin’s sister, Lehia Franklin Acox, said the family is trying to stay positive as police search the 2005 Chevrolet Impala for clues that could shed light on her disappearance.
Being positive “is our only option,” Acox said Saturday afternoon ahead of a prayer vigil that evening.
“We’re all just trying to keep our spirits up, but it’s a challenge,” she said.(more…)

THE POWER OF PRAYER
(FROM STREAMINGFAITH.COM DAILY DEVOTIONALS)
Psalm 66:19 – But God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.
It was an ordinary day. I sat at my desk doing those things that all pastors do, checking reports, writing reports, making phone calls and receiving calls. The phone rang, and at the other end was the voice of a former member of a church I pastored. “Pastor”‘, she said, “I want you to come and visit with me, I am in the hospital.” On my way home, I stopped to visit with this dear soul. We recalled the past, and prayed for the future. She informed me that her surgery was scheduled for the following morning. After the prayer, I wished her well and went home.
The following day she didn’t cross my mind until I passed the hospital on my way home. I had to stop. Standing at the foot of the bed, I asked her how the surgery went. “Surgery,” she said, “What surgery? Have you forgotten that you prayed for me?” “Oh, yes,” I said, feeling somewhat embarrassed. I smiled, talked for a few more moments and left the room.
How often in life do we forget the power of prayer? God is with us; too often we seem to forget that that is a fact. Too often we forget the real power of prayer. Indeed, I am guilty. Jesus said, “Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” (Matthew 7:7)
Prayer: Thank you, heavenly Father, for the special blessing of healing. We praise and glorify your Holy Name. Grant us your continued presence this day and all the days to come. Strengthen our faith that we may remain open to your will in our lives. In Your Son’s Name. Amen.

I was readin what you had wrote about the cell phone. I was just wondering if the cell was located or missing as well. Alot of times the invesigators can “ping” the phone or find out when the message was sent where the phone was at the time the text was sent. Just in case the text came from someone other that Nailah. Try this it really helps.

They , meaning police, investigators, fbi, etc, really, really, need to check not only her cell phone records, but also all email (in server) cell phone co and since she has a company car, she should also have a gas or credit card that she uses and try to see if times and locations of gas fill ups coincede with times or communication with any phone calls or text messages……..
