The only time I get email from CNN directly from their PR department is when it is a story that involves race. So I know they were intentional with this one.

Shirley Sherrod, former USDA official, tells CNN’s Tony Harris she was forced to resign after her remarks from a 1986 speech were taken out of context. The wife of the farmer Sherrod mentioned in the speech called in to say that Sherrod was the person she credited with helping to save their farm.

“[Stanley E.] Washington (NCAAOM President & CEO) goes on to say in the article that Comcast should give us (Black folks) 50 channels, not 4 to own and operate as we wish.
Again, the two things that I still have not heard from Washington and NCAAOM is what do they plan on broadcasting on these 50 channels? Secondly, is Black-owned television really in that big of a demand or is it just good programing?”
