CAMERON – Milledge M., 95, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia on October 28th, 2009.
Born in Riverport, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Henry A. and Eva (Creaser) Cameron.
Milledge was a veteran of World War Two serving overseas in England and Belgium. Following the war, he worked for Mersey Paper Company and then Bowater Mersey Paper Company Limited in Brooklyn as a machinist retiring in 1979. Milledge enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Liverpool Golf and Country Club and Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool.
He is survived by his wife Marion (Dodge), son Andrew (Sandra) of Dartmouth. Grandchildren Blair and Kristen (Philip) Guay. Sister Vera Morgan of Digby.
He was predeceased by his brothers: Robert, Donald, Hugh and Bruce.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, November 2nd, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Reverend Donald Lawton officiating. No flowers by request. LYTTLE – Mildred E., 81, formerly of Middlefield, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2009.
Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Maxwell and Sarah (Holloway) Martin.
Mildred was a former school teacher and also worked at Hillsview Acres and North Queens Nursing Home. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking as well as baking wedding cakes.
She is survived by her daughters: Trudy Steele of Halifax, Peggy (Darrell) Weare of Bathurst, Patsy (Ricky) Whynaught of Berwick and Joan (Ernie) Feener of Calgary. 16 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Brothers: Lester of Middlefield, George (Yvonne) of PQ, Gene (Vi) of Kingston, Maxwell (Lois) of Dartmouth, Frank (Terry) of ON.
She was predeceased by her husband Ted and her son Bill.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. and funeral service will be Saturday, October 31st, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Both in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Bishop Tom Drennan officiating. Burial will be in Middlefield-Pleasantfield Community Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

SMITH – Brian M. BSc., M.Eng., MBA. 50, of Mersey Point, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on October 26th, 2009.
Born in Halifax, he was the son of Margaret E. (McCreadie) Smith and the late Murray H. Smith.
Following his education in Halifax, Brian worked in Alberta and many overseas countries.
He is survived by his wife Diane (Hanley); sons: Matthew and Ian both of London ON., Kyle of Toronto, ON., his sister Heather (Andrew) Tremayne of Ottawa. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has been entrusted to Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where the family will greet friends on Saturday, October 31st, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Terry Fox Run or to any charity.

ANTHONY – Mary E., 81, of Mill Village, Queens County passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 23rd, 2009.
Born in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Mabel M. (Jones) Page.
Mary spent most of her life in the Maritimes with the exception of a few years in Bagotville, PQ. where her late father Bill was stationed during the war. Upon her return to Nova Scotia, Mary held various jobs: telephone operator, office administrator for a construction firm, secretary for Bowater Mersey Paper Company in Brooklyn and a real estate agent for a local realtor where she was presented with the Golden Sales Award in 1980. She loved Tim Horton’s coffee and was an avid bridge player but will be remembered mostly for her love of family.
She is survived by her daughters: Sherry of Port Alberni, BC. Wendy (Fred) Wamboldt of Mill Village, NS Her sons: David of Victoria, BC, Michael of Halifax, NS and Tony (Sandra) of Tofield, AB. 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her brother Paul (Joan) Page of Liverpool.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert and her brothers: Rudy and infant William.
Visitation will be held this evening from 7 until 9 p.m. and funeral service will be Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. both in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Lay Minister Peter Anthony officiating. Burial will be in Mill Village Community Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Bethany United Church, Mill Village or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

OICKLE – Alfred St. Clair, 70, of Liverpool, Queens County passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late George and Violet (Schrader) Oickle.
He was a former custodian for the South Shore Regional School Board, STENPRO and Nova Scotia Power Milton. He enjoyed woodworking and hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Viola (Croft) daughters: Rose and Kimberlee of Liverpool. Sons: Glenwood (Barbara) of Milton and Jeffery (Susana) of Edmonton, AB. 8 grandchildren. Sister Verna (Fred) Lannon of Liverpool and brothers Otis (Barbara) and Robert, both of Liverpool and David (Marion) of Mersey Point.
He was predeceased by his sisters: Madge and Carolyn.
A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, October 26th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Liverpool under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool with Reverend Judy Cross officiating.
