Anglodoodle

A not-so-girlie girl, currently living in Cambridge UK. I like computers and the web. I’ve been involved with them for rather a long time, for pleasure and profession.

I lived in Seattle for 7 years, and picked up my rather odd trans-Atlantic accent, hence ‘anglo’ (English) and ‘doodle’ ( from ‘Yankee-doodle’). It also sounds a little like ‘labradoodle’ – which I felt rather apt and charming – I too am a bit of a mutt, of a generally happy and enthusiastic temperament, and like to go for long walks and splash in muddy puddles. Since returning to Cambridge, I’ve spent most of my ‘spare’ time renovating my house. I am trying to be efficient and green in my decisions, which can be frustrating and expensive. I am looking forward to having a usable bathroom and boiler soon!

Not quite sure what the purpose of this blog is, work or play, professional or personal.

I think it’s a good idea to have profile content not exclusively on Facebook – it’s a lot of data to give to someone else to own and look after! This way, data is in my databases, I can port it over to any technology I like, syndicate as I like, and edit as I like. WordPress is treating me lovely so far, and I am impressed with the flexibility and control. I will try to keep things interesting, but also avoid saying things I might regret!
