The ace gets his first!

The Tigers pounded out an 11 hit attack, including 3 home runs, that propelled them to a 10-2 win over the Texas Rangers in front of a paid attendance of 33,629.  Justin Verlander got his first win of the year as he pitched 6 innings and allowed 1 run and 6 hits.

Second Half Offense Saves Tigers

Tonight Kenny Rogers started out rough giving up four runs, and the Tiger hitters left men too many men on base in the first five innings.  They were unable to take advantage of 7 walks given up by David Purcey, a man called up from AAA Syracuse.

The Tigers poured it on with [...]

Still Can’t Beat The White Sox

Rod Allen said right after Curtis Granderson had a bad swing to strike out against Bobby Jenks, “They just can’t beat these White Sox.”  Unfortunately this has been true for a lot of the season, and while the White Sox have been struggling.  I know that even though they are a last place team, they [...]
